Most delays in company registration are not legal problems. They are paperwork arriving in the wrong order.
Reserve the name first
Nothing else can start until a name is approved. Have two or three alternatives ready, because closely matching an existing company name is the most common rejection.
Prepare the constitutional documents
The memorandum and articles of association set out the objects of the company and how it is governed. These are worth drafting properly rather than adapting a template, because changing them later is a filing in its own right.
Register for tax
Registration with the Inland Revenue Department follows incorporation, and a company that trades before completing it accumulates problems quietly.
Then the sector licence, if one applies
Some sectors need a separate licence before operating. Check this before incorporation rather than after, since it can affect how the objects clause should be written.
